Cailin Billings Events is a timeless romantic Wedding & Event Planning company, based out of Cochrane, Alberta and servicing weddings and events in Calgary, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Olds, Red Deer, and all of Central and Southern Alberta.

We are looking to expand our team for the 2025/2026 wedding season, with 1-2 on-site Wedding Production Assistants. This role will assist a Lead Planner through executing an event day from start to finish, in tasks such as rental & décor set up, timeline management, vendor & guest experience, and various evolving responsibilities. Weekday remote office based hours may be available on periodic occasions.

  • No prior experience is required, but a passion for weddings, events, and décor setup is essential
  • Physical strength and stamina to lift, carry, and handle various décor items
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and aesthetics
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, based on wedding schedules
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take direction from the décor team lead
  • Reliable and punctual, ensuring timely arrival for setup and teardown tasks

Position Expectations:

  1. Décor Setup: Work closely with the décor team to set up wedding decorations according to the provided event plan and design guidelines. This may include arranging floral displays, positioning centerpieces, hanging drapes, and other decorative elements
  2. Venue Preparation: Assist in preparing the wedding venue by ensuring it is clean, organized, and ready for decoration installation
  3. Attention to Detail: Pay meticulous attention to the placement and arrangement of décor items, ensuring they align with the specified design and theme
  4. Team Collaboration: Work in coordination with the décor team and other event staff to ensure a seamless setup process, providing assistance where needed
  5. Tear Down and Pack-Up: After the event, efficiently and carefully dismantle decorations, ensuring they are handled with care to maintain their quality. Safely pack décor items for transportation and storage
  6. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an inventory of décor items, noting any damages or missing items and reporting them to the team lead
  7. Problem Solving: Be resourceful in resolving any unexpected challenges that may arise during setup or teardown, ensuring a smooth and timely process
  8. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment during setup and teardown
